The “Franklin D. Roosevelt” Mid-Hudson Bridge spans the Hudson River between Highland and Poughkeepsie, NY. The Mid-Hudson Bridge is a parallel wire cable suspension bridge with distinctive look that comes in part from the placement of the stiffening trusses above, rather than under, the roadway. The bridge is approximately 3,000 feet in length and opened to the public on August 25, 1930.
